Tuff Studios

Tuff Studios was established in 1983. The studio complex is situated in the central heart of Gothenburg Sweden called "Gamlestan" meaning the Old Town. It is basically next door to national television TV4. With its over 300 square metres of total area it is own of the west coast's larger facilities.
Studio One has both the latest Pro Tools HD3 systems with 48 seperate out channels and 48 track analoge using Studer A820 with dolby SR. The desk is a Soundtracs Jade 48 with full automation. The control room boasts of having the largest pair of Genelec monitors in Sweden. As for outboard gear - we think we've got almost everything that's worth having.
Studio Two hosts a smaller production room running Logic.

Tuff Studios is owned and run by John Ballard producer/songwriter. Other writers/producers are involved on a full time basis.

Tuff Studios runs its own publishing and management setups and is constantly on the look out for new fresh talent in particular from the west coast of Sweden. The company often delivers finished mastertapes to Swedish and International major record companies as in the case of Ace of Base, Yaki Da, Bubbles, Together, Metrix and Nicki & Mojje.

The company has been nominated and won several awards for tracks used in media advertising, TV commercials and films. (Volvo, Friends TV3 and theme song for the movie Ice Age 2003).
